While I am absolutely thrilled to have a doll with the arm chub and thick calves I have (though she’s not compatible with my custom mini-me doll head either in neck size or skintone), I’m not plus size and neither is Jacy. They get so close to doing plus size and chicken out when it gets to the waist line. There are already lots of reviews out there with posing and all that, so I’m not going to get super in depth with that just… I understand why fashion dolls have had hard to remove earrings, but I also hate it.Īnd her earrings fit Boxy Girls, which means Boxy Girls earrings will fit Jacy.Īdded bonus: Boxy Girls shoes fit Jacy! Jacy has an uncommon foot size and some folks have said finding alternate shoes might prove a problem. Thankfully her earrings come out pretty easily. Not surprised by the lack of hem, though. I was surprised that the skirt opens all the way down the back, and has a modesty strap to keep it from riding up. But that did keep the price point a little lower, so I guess…. Printed on details (”real” collar, though), no hems, that sort of thing. You either cut the hair off or take off her head and fix it that way.Īs far as her clothes, I am disappointed, but not surprised. Many, many plugs, especially considering she was designed for a ponytail. Not that I didn’t take her hair down anyway…
Good thing I know how to take those out with minimal effort and damage to the hairstyle. We all know how irritated I get with non-recycleable packaging. But it’s also mostly paperboard, which is nice.
Mattel is weird about brown eyes, they’re always yellow.Īnyway, she costs the same as a basic Made to Move barbie, and while being fully articulated, isn’t as articulated as MtM. I do like the hairs in her eyebrows and so many crazy eyelashes… I’ll fix her eye whites and lips eventually, and I might overpaint her irises to recenter her pupils, too. We’ll just say she has seasonal allergies… I had some trouble figuring out what it was I didn’t like about her face paint, and it’s both her misprinted lips (too high) and the pink in the whites of her eyes. I love having all these different playline bodies. The only one I’ve come across is Jacy, whom I waffled on because that face wasn’t doing it for me.īut I wanted the chubbier body. Mattel’s new line Wild Hearts Crew are starting to show up sporadically here and there at Walmart.
